Casting changes have been announced for The York Theatre Company's critically acclaimed revue Closer Than Ever, which spotlights the songs of Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire.

James Moye (Dogfight, Million Dollar Quartet) will fill in for George Dvorsky, who will be out of the show Sept. 25-Oct. 7 due to a prior commitment. Understudies Rita Harvey (Fiddler on the Roof, The Phantom of the Opera) and Jamie Laverdiere (York's Roadside, The Producers) will also join the company beginning Sept. 25.

With direction by Maltby, associate direction and choreography by Kurt Stamm and music direction by Andrew Gerle, the cast currently features Jacquelyn Piro Donovan, George Dvorsky, Anika Larsen and Sal Viviano.

The production was also recently extended through Nov. 25.

The musical revue at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's is described as "an intimate musical about love, friendship, security, happiness - and holding onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions at once."

The creative team includes James Morgan (sets), Nicole Wee (costumes) and Kirk Bookman (lights). The production stage manager is Bernita Robinson.

Tickets are priced at $67.50 and are available online at yorktheatre.org, by calling (212) 935-5820, or in person at the box office at the York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
